This role provides an excellent opportunity to grow in the audio‑visual field while gaining hands‑on experience in setting up, troubleshooting, and maintaining AV equipment across various settings and venues. The position frequently works with other departments and guests to ensure their technical needs are met.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Mix audio for a wide range of music genres and theatrical presentations in a live performance venue.
  • Assist in planning and implementing expansions to the OWA audio‑visual systems.
  • Identify opportunities to upgrade and update the audio‑visual infrastructure.
  • Provide outstanding guest and team member service, interpreting and conveying information, answering questions, and assisting guests, vendors, and associates with AV issues.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repair or arrange for outside repair of all AV equipment as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain operation of OWA’s audio, video, and lighting systems as required.
  • Provide first‑line support, including on‑the‑spot diagnosis and rectification of minor faults.
  • Maintain detailed inventory of all AV equipment and its current status.
  • Assist in designing and operating live event sound and lighting systems, as required.
  • Support the load‑in/load‑out process for third‑party production companies during live events.
  • Create, update, and respond to support tickets in a timely manner.
  • Work efficiently under time and cost constraints to meet all audio‑visual set‑ups, connections, or repairs.
  • Assist in protecting and safeguarding all company assets.
  • Perform duties with minimum supervision and make sound judgment calls for system issues.
  • Communicate effectively with the AV Administrator to ensure tasks are prioritized and deadlines are met.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED, or enrollment and successful completion of a GED program within six (6) months of start date.
  • At least twenty‑one (21) years of age.
  • Three (3) years of AV/Production experience in a professional environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of signal paths and ability to troubleshoot analog and network AVL systems.
  • Knowledge of DMX control systems.
  • Basic computer networking skills (wired or wireless connectivity).
  • Understanding of video formats (standard definition, high definition).
  • Proficiency with MS Office products: PowerPoint, Word, Excel.
  • Ability to identify audio, video, lighting, and communication cables.
  • Valid state‑issued driver’s license.
  • Willingness to work odd, irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift more than 50 lbs as needed.

Preferred Experience / Skillset

  • Knowledge of distributed audio, video, and lighting systems over IP.
  • Experience with live video production software (QLab, ProPresenter, Resolume, etc.).
  • Experience with The Hog 4 lighting control platform.
  • Experience with Yamaha audio consoles.
  • Experience with Q‑SYS and QSC products.
  • Experience with Dante.
