We're looking for an Associate Producer/Editor!
What you'll be doing:
The Associate Producer/Editor is responsible for executing and assisting with the pre-production, production, and post-production of all television and radio needs for our family of stations. This role carries a significant focus on content supporting fundraising and membership efforts, including live, pre-taped pledge drives and remote pledge. This individual is responsible for organizing media, completing editing duties, and coordinating essential internal and external production logistics. This position operates in both office and studio environments and may occasionally work in the field during live or recorded productions. This position can be hybrid - a blend of remote and in-office work.
- Assist with, provide oversight, and execute the pre-production, production, and post-production of all television and radio needs for all stations, including all live in-studio and remote pledge, ad well as recorded pledge content
- Assist the fundraising production team in creating roll-in materials, promotions, and spots accordingly for all stations, assist in the production and development of general fundraising spots
- Develop, create, and communicate membership messages to viewers and listeners during interstitial breaks outside of pledge to support year-round fundraising efforts
- Edit short- and long-form video and audio content for a variety of platforms, including broadcast and digital
- Record and edit Radio and TV promos and underwrites, maintaining updates in content management software
- Act as point of contact for external partners such as JMC, closed captioning, and others as assigned/necessary; work with external closed captioning company to coordinate for live and taped productions; review invoices for accuracy and submit timely to supervisor for approval
- Create and maintain essential documents (e.g. green sheets, break sheets, etc.) to coordinate with talent, traffic, and external vendors
- Collaborate with Marketing & Creative Services and Digital Media departments for on-air needs
- Coordinate with graphic design and animation as needed for post-production edits
What you'll need:
- Minimum of an Associate degree in film/media production, or related field, or two (2) years of related experience in lieu of degree (internship experience is acceptable)
- Displays technical aptitude and proven skills in video production and digital video editing software such as Avid Media Composer and Adobe Suite; After Effects preferred
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work calmly under tight deadlines and live-production pressures
- Collaborative mindset, contributes to the team positively and professionally with the ability to give/receive constructive feedback
- Familiarity of current and emerging digital and social platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be well organized and capable of working independently
- Stays current on new trends and technologies related to video post-production
- Demonstrated proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Office
- Current, valid driver license

Salary and Benefits:
This is a full-time, non-exempt hourly position and hours of work are based on operational need; typically, Monday through Friday. Some evenings and weekends will be required as operations dictate. Starting pay will be based on education, experience and interview.
Starting range: $17.57 to $21.96/hr.
