About the Holly Springs Salamanders The Holly Springs Salamanders are a proud member of the Coastal Plain League. The CPL is a 15 team Collegiate Summer Baseball League ranging from Virginia to Georgia. The Salamanders pride themselves on affordable family entertainment, with a quality baseball product on the field. Job Tasks Marketing & Community Engagement
- Oversee the planning and execution of events in the community.
- Plan and manage team player appearances at community events, ensuring a positive and professional representation of the organization.
- Collaborate with the coaching staff and players to encourage and facilitate their participation in community service activities.
- Oversee Mascot Operations including handling inquiries, scheduling, and communication with our mascot.
- Maintain and update the Salamanders website.
- Maintain brand guidelines and ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.
- Develop Salamanders functional marketing and promotional strategy, including e-blasts, designed to primarily sell tickets and maximize brand exposure.
- Create campaigns focused on growing season tickets, same day ticket and group ticket sales.
- Graphic design support, completing graphics to be used across multiple platforms. Will include in-park graphics and signage, social media graphics and GIFs, and other projects to be assigned.
- Creating motion graphics for use on social channels, website, internal video, in-park during games and events, and more.
- Assistance in capturing video content to be used in ballpark and on social channels.
- Video content will originate from home games, other baseball and non-baseball events at Ting Stadium, and off-site events, including mascot appearances in the community.
- Managing projects with the expectation of delivering on time and with high quality of work.
- Develop social media strategy and content calendars for all social channels (Instagram, Facebook, X, Tik Tok, LinkedIn).
- Utilize social media channels to attract new fans to the purchase funnel, with a framework encompassing lead generation, nurturing, conversion, and retention.
- Track and report social performance and provide ongoing analyses.
- Oversee the content creation intern, ensuring they are completing tasks in a timely manner and that follows our brand expectations.
- Oversee the Promotions/Game Presentation intern, ensuring they are performing and completing the task of running the show.
- Assist in the development of the promotional calendar for the season, with a focus on ticket driving promotions.
- Ensure the team has all the props needed to execute our on-field entertainment for the season.
- Review game day script and in-game schedule to ensure accuracy and sponsorship fulfillment.
- Willingness to approach the position with enthusiasm, optimism, and a willingness to learn.
- Active participation in meetings with the emphasis on helping the team grow its fan base.
- Assist in ballpark preparation tasks, including ballpark set up, decorating, and stadium needs.
- Assist with team laundry needs throughout the season, including players, coaches, and mascots.
- Attend community events and represent the Salamanders in a professional manner.
- Bachelor's degree in sport management, marketing, advertising, business, or related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in marketing, preferably in sports or entertainment.
- Minimum (1) year experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or similar tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience managing social media for an organization.
- A pre-employment drug screening is required.
