What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Manage and execute media and public relations efforts for corporate products and regional health plans
Provide strategic communication counsel and guidance to subsidiaries within assigned regions
Oversee the review and approval process for public relations activities between subsidiaries and corporate senior management
Monitor and analyze industry trends and recommend action plans
Oversee corporate public relations efforts related to national programs and business development activities
What is Required (Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
Minimum of 6 years of experience in media relations, public relations, or communications
Experience in a managed care, insurance, or healthcare environment preferred
Strong strategic communication skills
Proven ability to manage public relations initiatives and issues effectively
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience working with corporate communications or in a similar role within the healthcare sector
Familiarity with crisis communications strategies
Knowledge of competitive trends in the healthcare industry
Established network of media contacts
Advanced degree in a relevant field
