The Opportunity
We are seeking a Manager, Procurement - Advertising & Marketing (A&M) to join the Supply Chain team. This role plans and executes procurement strategies, interfaces with other department heads, and leads strategic negotiations. The position requires strong technical, interpersonal, and management skills with independent judgment and thorough knowledge of procurement, contract administration, and A&M category knowledge. The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker with exceptional communication, influencing, and relationship management skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead, source, manage and negotiate A&M procurement agreements, including needs analysis, market analysis, competitive intelligence, RFI/RFP development, cost and proposal analysis, deal structuring, contract negotiation, and implementation development with cross-functional teams.
- Develop procurement strategies, evaluate bidders, assess suppliers, review bids, recommend contract awards, and execute rollout plans.
- Attain Tropicana Brands Group NA productivity targets for the A&M Procurement category.
- Regularly meet with business leaders to identify A&M requirements, communicate purchasing strategies, and provide updates on current and expiring agreements and governance issues.
- Manage day-to-day SAP purchase order process to avoid disruption of services.
- Develop a strategy for corporate-wide agreements to maximize leveraging; ensure effective communication with operating departments on strategies, agreements and procedures.
- Benchmark other industries to understand current developments, capabilities, trends and best practices to develop an effective procurement strategy.
- Manage strategic supplier relationships: plan quarterly business reviews, track KPIs/SLAs and contract compliance, evaluate supplier risk, and resolve issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reporting capabilities, and the consultative approach of professional services and facilities-related procurement.
- Participate in onsite meetings with strategic suppliers/contractors to assess facilities, capacity, and capability to meet project success criteria, specifications, and delivery dates.
Qualifications
- Minimum indirect procurement experience: 3–5 years with experience in CPG companies.
- Good knowledge of SAP, and Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint).
- Good working knowledge of legal and contracting requirements.
- Experience in Professional Services related to Advertising & Marketing, Brand Management, Agency Management, POS/Premium Items is highly desirable.
- Extensive knowledge of A&M, Point of Sales, Sales insights and digital services supplier base.
Foundational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
- Located in the Chicago, IL surrounding area or willing to relocate for the duration of employment.
- Willingness to adapt and thrive in a blended work environment with 3 days in office, and remote work for the remainder.
Perks and Compensation
Salary range: $88,000 – $120,000 annually. Comprehensive benefits package including 401(k), medical, dental, vision, company-provided life, STD and LTD insurance. Voluntary life, accident, hospital, and critical illness coverages may also be available.
