The Director of Marketing and Creative Services is responsible for the development and implementation of global brand and marketing strategies as well as the creative direction of campaigns to support the Essex Solutions brand and product. Additionally, this position leads both internal and external communications and oversees the Corporate Sustainability Program. This role reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer and is an in-office position located in our Atlanta headquarters.

Responsibilities

Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering an environment of creativity, accountability, and results-driven performance. Experience managing remote employees required.
  • Provide oversight on corporate marketing, creative services, and sustainability activities.
  • Work closely with management across corporate and regional groups on marketing and sustainability efforts.

Brand Management

  • Oversee all aspects of brand strategy and identity collaborating with different stakeholders including external agencies as necessary.
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders including monthly BU calls.
  • Art direction of new and maintenance of existing brand collateral materials to promote brand awareness and ensure a consistent corporate message. Hands‑on execution.
  • Develop and execute product marketing strategies working with Innovation team and regional business units.
  • Partner with Legal to file new trademarks, renew existing and gather substantiation for proof of use in commerce by region.

Design, Creative, Content, Website/Digital User Experience

  • Manage creative direction for new and existing materials, including packaging, brochures, flyers, tech guides, white papers, and sustainability reports.
  • Ensure proper brand use and promote brand awareness.
  • Partner with corporate and regional groups on events, providing art direction and design resources as appropriate.
  • Oversee art direction of tradeshow booth materials; collaborate with regional team to ensure successful events.
  • Provide strategic direction for website management and digital user experience.
  • Oversee content marketing strategy for internal and external channels such as website, LinkedIn, and SharePoint. Includes content marketing, sustainability marketing, and recruitment marketing.

Communications

  • Manage company communications related to brands, acquisitions, partnerships, and other announcements.
  • Partner with parent company Investor Relations Group to provide marketing and public relations deliverables.
  • Lead internal communications efforts.
  • Partner with HR to support communication and help champion company initiatives.

Sustainability

  • Oversee sustainability program.
  • Champion sustainability initiatives internally and externally.
  • Develop and execute sustainability marketing strategy.
  • Provide support to Sustainability manager in goal tracking, developing reports, responding to customer inquiries, NGO reporting, audit, and financial reporting request.
  • Participate in the Sustainability Leadership Council and subcommittees.
  • Collaborate with global sustainability teams including monthly BU calls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field. Master’s Degree a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in marketing & creative services leadership role.
  • 5+ years’ experience in creative direction, content management, digital and product marketing for a global b2b market.
  • Proven experience in internal and external communications, social media management, and public relations.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage complex marketing projects.
  • Experience building, supporting, and managing resources to enhance marketing efforts.
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft and present compelling messages for various audiences and all levels of employees.
  • Experience managing websites required.
  • Must be creative, analytical and detail oriented.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into effective communication strategies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
