Position Overview

Central Florida Behavioral Hospital, a 174‑bed private psychiatric center in Orlando, FL, is seeking a Music Therapist to conduct music therapy activities to improve patient functioning, independence, health, and well‑being.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct activity assessment on patients.
  • Facilitate therapeutic activity groups.
  • Maintain patient health and safety.
  • Document evaluations of progress and participate in treatment team meetings.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s in Music Therapy.
  • Minimum 2 years of Music Therapy experience, preferably in a psychiatric setting with children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Certified Music Therapist credential required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adhere to risk management, infection control, and behavioral management protocols.
  • Availability for full hospital and departmental orientations (Week 1: M‑F 8 AM – 5 PM).
