Position Overview
Central Florida Behavioral Hospital, a 174‑bed private psychiatric center in Orlando, FL, is seeking a Music Therapist to conduct music therapy activities to improve patient functioning, independence, health, and well‑being.
Responsibilities
Conduct activity assessment on patients.
Facilitate therapeutic activity groups.
Maintain patient health and safety.
Document evaluations of progress and participate in treatment team meetings.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s in Music Therapy.
Minimum 2 years of Music Therapy experience, preferably in a psychiatric setting with children, adolescents, and adults.
Certified Music Therapist credential required.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to adhere to risk management, infection control, and behavioral management protocols.
Availability for full hospital and departmental orientations (Week 1: M‑F 8 AM – 5 PM).
