As a **Security Officer - Tech/Media Patrol Driver** in **San Jose, CA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents, while you interact professionally with employees and visitors. This is a driving post, where you will conduct routine patrols and respond promptly to situations as they arise. • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

**Responsibilities:**

• Provide customer service to clients at technology, media, and telecommunications locations by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and report any security-related concerns.
• Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or disturbances to the appropriate parties according to established protocols.
• Assist visitors, employees, and contractors by providing information and guidance as needed while monitoring access to the location.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports related to daily activities, incidents, and security-related matters.
• Work collaboratively with Allied Universal management and site personnel to support a secure environment tailored to the needs of technology, media, and telecommunications locations.

**Minimum Requirements:**

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
