Overview
CBS Squared, Inc. seeks an energetic, highly motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter to join our team as a designer/architect. The position is for full-time employment. The candidate must have 0-8 years of design and/or construction experience to join our growing Minneapolis branch office.
A candidate with an architect degree that is on course to obtain a Professional Architecture license is a plus. Experience with Revit and/pr CAD systems is preferred. The ideal candidate can expect to work on a wide variety of projects both large- and small-scale. The position requires the candidate to hold a valid driver’s license and be able to provide their own transport to project sites as necessary. The candidate will be reimbursed for use of their vehicle when used for business related activities. We offer an excellent benefit and compensation package.
Responsibilities
Directly communicating with clients on projects.
Assisting project managers in developing project designs.
Producing a variety of project documents including preliminary design analysis, programming, conceptual diagrams, working drawings, and project specifications for large and medium scale design projects.
Utilizing architectural design software to accommodate all design phases including, but not limited to client presentations, energy analysis and evaluation of materials and architectural assemblies.
Qualifications
The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in architectural design.
The applicant must have recent experience with CAD systems, particularly AutoCAD and Revit.
Collaborative, thoughtful, articulate, compassionate, energetic and highly motivated.
Detail-oriented and driven by a passion for architecture.
The candidate must hold a master’s or professional degree from an accredited architecture program.
The ideal candidate would already possess or be actively seeking architectural licensure in the State of Minnesota.
Experience working with Revit, CAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Adobe Design Suite, Microsoft Word & Excel and be comfortable producing digital renderings and design documents with these software applications.
Interested in a wide variety of project types and scales.
Be comfortable presenting/speaking in groups.
Have a genuine passion to listen to clients and team members.
