Job Description - The Curriculum Content Developer contributes to the design and development of instructional materials that support CECPD’s online and classroom-based training programs. This role drafts, formats, and assembles content that aligns with CECPD’s curriculum standards and learning objectives. The position collaborates with subject matter experts, curriculum team members, editors, and graphic designers to ensure content is instructionally sound, visually aligned, and ready for production. The Curriculum Content Developer maintains curriculum quality, consistency, and innovation across CECPD’s platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and Revise Instructional Content
- Write and edit course materials, including online modules, guides, assessment questions and classroom resources.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and curriculum team to ensure content accuracy and alignment.
- Revise content based on feedback and evolving instructional needs.
- Build Interactive H5P Modules
- Use H5P to create interactive learning elements (e.g., quizzes, drag-and-drop, branching scenarios).
- Apply consistent formatting and accessibility standards.
- Maintain and update H5P content as needed.
- Format Course Documents Using Templates
- Apply consistent formatting to PowerPoints, handouts, and digital learning materials.
- Use established templates and style guides to ensure visual and instructional consistency.
- Prepare materials for final review and production.
- Support Timely Content Development for Course Requests
- Respond to curriculum needs by developing and preparing content in a timely manner.
- Adapt existing materials or create new content to meet evolving program requirements.
- Ensure all content is accurate, instructionally sound, and aligned with project timelines.
- Maintain Organized Course Files and Version Control
- Label and store all course documents accurately in shared systems.
- Maintain version control to support collaboration and updates.
- Ensure accessibility and retrievability of curriculum files.
Qualifications
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communication, or related field.
Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree.
Skills:
- Strong writing and editing skills with attention to clarity, tone, and instructional purpose.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint; familiarity with formatting tools and templates.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Comfort with repetitive formatting and document preparation tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Department Preferences:
- Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design.
