Overview

Job Role: UX Designer

Location: Charlotte, NC

Responsibilities

• Proven experience as a UX Designer and Web Developer, preferably in a data science or analytics environment.
• Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) and web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React or similar frameworks).
• Strong understanding of UX principles, accessibility standards, and responsive design.
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Portfolio demonstrating both UX design and web development projects, especially those involving data visualization or model interaction.
• Experience with enterprise web applications and complex workflows.
• Familiarity with backend technologies (e.g., Python, Node.js) is a plus.
• Knowledge of design systems and component libraries.
• Understanding of web performance optimization and security best practices.
• Experience with Agile Methodology and tools (JIRA or Rally).
• Collaborate with data scientists, data analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate analytical outputs into user-friendly designs.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mock-ups for web applications that visualize and present model results.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and iterate on designs based on feedback.
• Develop and maintain responsive, accessible, and performant web applications using modern web technologies.
• Ensure consistency with brand guidelines and design systems across all digital products.
• Work closely with product managers, developers, and QA to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Stay current with UX best practices, design trends, and web development technologies.
