Pool Lecturer – Business Communication (Pool)

The College of Business Administration seeks a motivated faculty member to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Business Communication. The candidate will work under general supervision of the department chair and will collaborate with other instructors in related areas.

Position Summary

  • Prepare and deliver undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Business Communication, maintaining currency in the subject area.
  • Teach courses in face‑to‑face, hybrid, and/or online formats.
  • Assess students, evaluate learning outcomes, maintain records, and hold office hours.
  • Provide academic advising and other service to the department.
  • Participate in curriculum development and departmental meetings.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business communication or a related field (post‑baccalaureate certification or professional experience accepted only in rare cases).
  • Evidence of a commitment to professional development.
  • Evidence of effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Evidence of potential for excellence in teaching and student learning.
  • Evidence of potential for excellence in student advising and service to the university and local community.

Preferred Qualifications

ABD or Ph.D. in business communication or a related discipline.
