We are seeking a highly motivated, creative, detail‑oriented YouTube Video Editor to join our team at our YouTube Agency.

As a YouTube Video Editor, you will edit raw footage into engaging, high‑quality videos for publication, collaborate with clients and internal teams, create custom graphics and animations, source suitable music or sound effects, implement SEO strategies, and deliver final video files in the correct format for each platform.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand the goals, branding, and vision for each video.
  • Edit raw video footage into engaging, high‑quality pieces for publication.
  • Create custom graphics and animation elements to align with client branding.
  • Source and incorporate suitable music or sound effects into videos.
  • Implement SEO strategies to optimize video content for YouTube’s search algorithm.
  • Deliver final video files in the correct format for each platform.
  • Manage, backup, and organize all video files effectively.
  • Stay up‑to‑date with YouTube’s policies, emerging trends, and best practices.
  • Continually find ways to improve and streamline the editing process to meet client needs.

Requirements

  • Love for YouTube and video.
  • 1‑2 years of professional video editing experience, ideally within the YouTube space.
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Excellent storytelling skills with an understanding of pacing and narrative structure.
  • Knowledge of SEO strategies for YouTube and an understanding of its policies.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong sense of visual aesthetics.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proven ability to adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent style.
  • A portfolio or reel showcasing your editing abilities is required.
  • Fluent in English is a must‑have (other languages are a plus).

Bonus

  • Experience with YouTube Studio, Google Analytics, Search Console.
  • Working in an agency.
  • Working in a SaaS start‑up.
  • Having your own YouTube channel is a huge plus.
