Event Planner
Leidos is seeking a detail‑oriented Event Planner to coordinate and execute internal and external events (conferences, depositions, closed commission meetings, staff meetings, social events, etc.). The role delivers high‑impact events that support agency goals and elevate client satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide proactive scheduling and presentation of planned events to customers and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with customers and vendors to ensure smooth event setup, delivery, and post‑event activities.
- Generate regular reports and satisfaction surveys to demonstrate completion of litigation and deposition‑related events.
- Document and communicate event readiness checklists and status reports prior to execution.
- Travel to support offsite FTC events (local), conduct site visits when necessary and provide feedback to the planning team regarding potential event sites.
- Work independently with customers to obtain information on desired event outcomes and lead planning and delivery of all event activities that encompass small and large‑scale events.
- Collaborate with FTC staff to determine event needs; participate in conference calls and/or face‑to‑face meetings as required, resulting in clearly communicated tasks and milestones for those involved.
- Assist with setting up and starting virtual meetings using applications such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.
- Help coordinate internal marketing communications and promotional materials in collaboration with FTC communications staff.
- Maintain a centralized calendar of upcoming events, deadlines, and resource allocations for cross‑team visibility.
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma and 2–4 years of prior customer service experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, or related field and experience with event planning/management, preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time‑management abilities.
- Event planning experience for Federal Government customers is a plus.
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust security clearance.
