Occasional night/weekend work will be required for events.**Cover letters are required for all applications.**Manage Music Department instruments, equipment, lockers, and the ‘Wicked Loud’ Music Room. Assist the Concert/Events Specialist with concerts and events by providing technical and production support. Develop a centralized equipment plan. This is a part-time, academic-year role that requires occasional nights and weekends, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a valid driver's license.*Take appropriate actions to support a diverse workforce and participate in the College's efforts to create a respectful, inclusive, and welcoming work environment.***Essential Functions:***Manage Music Department Instruments: 50%** Create and maintain a database of department instruments and equipment. Develop a documentation system describing equipment and its maintenance needs. Maintain department records for musical instruments and associated equipment.* Systematize and manage a centralized check in/out process of lending instruments to students, tracking down unreturned borrowed equipment, and lost/damaged fees working with existing College policies. In collaboration with Academic Operations Coordinator, faculty, and ensemble directors, approve student use of instruments.* Facilitate the movement of instruments and equipment.* Coordinate and track instrument repairs and maintenance, instrument donations, and storage space.*Manage Music Department Equipment: 30%** Manage inventory of equipment used for department events, performances, and courses. Inventory and manage peripheral equipment.* Oversee locker registration process.* Maintain the Electronic Music Room, Digital Music Lab and Wicked Loud Music Room. Collaborate with faculty and staff to create and implement appropriate policies for use of these spaces.*Event Support : 20%** Work as part of a team to setup, and oversee events. Assist with training and directing students in front and back of house roles. Work with Concert/events Specialist to manage live streaming of events, other audio and video recordings, and stage setups and breakdowns.* Support concert series and events programmed by the Concert Committee and faculty.* Liaise between faculty, potential artists, and other event production partners.* Coordinate instruments for rehearsals and performances.*Perform other duties as assigned by management.***MINIMUM REQUIRED Qualifications (education, experience, certifications, licenses, knowledge, skills)**Associate's Degree in Music1 to 5 years of experience in music and events managementValid driver’s licenseKnowledge of: Musical instruments and equipment**Skills*** Working knowledge of equipment and instruments* Events and performance management experience* Excellent oral and written communication skills* Expert level skills in Google Workspace (Google Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Forms, etc.); proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel* Proven ability to organize and prioritize work effectively, be detail oriented, take initiative and responsibility, be proactive, resolve problems, and manage multiple tasks**Preferred Qualifications**Bachelor's Degree in a related field## CompensationIn addition to a competitive benefits package, pay for this role is typically between $21.76 - $26.59 hourly covering the middle half of market compensation.
