Job Summary/Basic Function The Lindquist College of Arts & Humanities is hiring an hourly student worker to join the college’s marketing team to promote events, programs, and classes. This position is a 50/50 hourly position and will work 10 to 15 hours each week on a flexible schedule. We’re looking for someone who is a quick learner and passionate about the arts and humanities.
Responsibilities include:
Updating community calendars with upcoming events and assisting in marketing those events, particularly productions from the Department of Performing Arts.
Assisting in developing and scheduling engaging social media content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.) aligned with our brand.
Attending college events to capture high‑quality photos and videos for use in marketing materials.
Maintaining A&H bulletin boards, display cases, and on-campus advertising spaces.
Acting as a liaison between the marketing team and student organizations within the college to effectively promote student events.
Communicating regularly with the supervisor and Graphic Designer to ensure events and programs are marketed appropriately.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Applicants should be creative and have strong communication skills, strong writing skills, good work habits, and the ability to work on multiple projects at a time.
Must be a current full‑time, degree‑seeking Weber State Student.
Must be able to operate a personal computer.
Must have a 2.0 GPA or higher.
Must meet the minimum credit hour requirements for the semesters the supervisor is requesting funding:
Fall: 12 credit hours
Spring: 12 credit hours
Summer: 6 credit hours
Must be an undergraduate student working on their first bachelor’s degree (cannot be post‑baccalaureate).
Preferred Qualifications Experience in social media, photography, videography and/or graphic design is a plus.

Physical Activity of this position Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles etc., using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Agility is emphasized. Important if the amount and kind of climbing required exceeds that required for ordinary locomotion. Maintaining equilibrium to prevent falling. Walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces. Amount of balancing exceeds that needed for ordinary locomotion and maintenance of body equilibrium. Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees. Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine. Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Moving about to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another. Expressing or exchanging ideas. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important instructions to other workers accurately or quickly. Ability to receive detailed information with or without assistance. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Physical Requirements of this position Light work. Exerting up to 20 lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs of force frequently and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Use of arm and/or leg controls exerting forces greater than that for sedentary work.
Visual Acuity Requirements including color, depth perception and field of vision. Required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; using a computer terminal; extensive reading.
The conditions the worker will be subject to in this position: None. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work).
