Position Summary The Undergraduate Marketing Coordinator plays a pivotal role in creating, editing, and managing communications designed to engage prospective undergraduate students and their families, guiding them through the admissions process. This position requires exceptional writing and editing skills, a deep understanding of marketing strategies, and a passion for representing the university's mission and values. Projects will include print materials, digital communications, social media content, and advertising copy that aligns with the university's brand and voice. The ideal candidate is a creative and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is dedicated to advancing the university's enrollment goals. Duties and Responsibilities
Testify to personal experience of salvation in Jesus Christ, affirm belief in the University's Statement of Faith, abide by and practice our Life Together Covenant, and both personally agree with and support the Foundational Documents of Taylor University. Asset Development: Edit and proofread compelling and engaging copy for print and digital communications, including brochures, letters, emails, and web content, targeting prospective students and their families. Maintain a consistent tone and voice that aligns with Taylor University's brand across all communications. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop new material that supports recruitment objectives and promotes the university's distinct values and offerings. Manage Email Communications: Serve as primary Pardot expert, creating and sending emails for undergraduate and graduate enrollment, onboarding new students, and official University communications. Manage email lists, create registration forms, and set up and edit drip campaigns to prospective students and parents. Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards for copywriting, ensuring all materials are error-free, audience-focused, and aligned with brand guidelines. Review and refine mass emails and print communications sent to prospective audiences for accuracy, clarity, and effectiveness. Project Management:
Coordinate and manage marketing projects from concept to completion, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and objectives are met. Track project progress, prioritize tasks, and communicate updates to stakeholders. Develop a deep understanding of the admissions process to create content that effectively supports enrollment goals.
Support other marketing initiatives and special projects as assigned. Other duties as assigned. Typical Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, English, Communication, or a related field. A degree from Taylor University is preferred. Demonstrated experience in writing, editing, and managing marketing communications, with a portfolio of relevant work.
Skills and Competencies
Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt tone and style for diverse audiences and platforms. Strong understanding of marketing principles and strategies to support enrollment goals. Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Self-motivated with a willingness to learn new tools, troubleshoot challenges, and find the answers to questions Collaborative team player who can also work independently. Passion for Taylor University's mission and a desire to communicate its values authentically. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva. Experience in higher education marketing or admissions. Ability to evaluate and improve the content, structure, and format of written material. Experience with email marketing platforms (Pardot) preferred. Supplemental Information
