Job Location: 264 Hutchison Rd, Rochester, New York, United States of America, 14627 Opening: Regular Time Type: Full time Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Department: 210203 Event and Classroom Management Work Shift: UR - Rotating (United States of America) Range: UR URG 107 H Compensation Range: $23.06 - $32.29 The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Responsibilities
General Purpose: Responsible for installation, support, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of audio and video equipment, including projectors, microphones, speakers, cameras, and lighting, for learning, classrooms, healthcare environments, performance venues, and other public presentation spaces. Tests and debugs systems. Ensures day-to-day operations and services run smoothly and maintains a consistent technology experience for all customers, including classrooms, conference rooms, offices, and other spaces. Responds to trouble tickets. Essential Functions Performs installation tasks including, but not limited to: system layout, pulling and terminating cables, installing AV devices (video, audio, control, network, computing, etc.), configuring AV devices, equipment racks. Assists with moving supplies and tools to and from job site, cleanup and trash out of installations as needed. References design documentation to create actionable plans for system staging, prebuild, and installation for learning, classrooms, healthcare environments, performance venues, and other public presentation spaces. Maintains overall shop management including but not limited to: keeping the shop clean and organized, ordering new supplies as needed, receiving and completing inventory of equipment, staging of equipment for installation jobs, and adhering to timelines and daily/weekly schedules. Assists department with basic clerical work, including scheduling, organization, training, and other related tasks. Performs maintenance and repairs on equipment as needed. Provides on-going user and system support. Updates and/or debugs device software/firmware as needed. Works to reduce system downtime and trouble calls. Troubleshoots and resolves technical issues that may arise. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Education & Experience
High School diploma or equivalent and 1 year of experience providing audiovisual support in classrooms or similar environment for live events required Associate's degree preferred Or equivalent combination of education and experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Basic proficiency in modern computer programs, such as Microsoft Office, Google Apps, etc. required Strong problem-solving skills required Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment required Excellent customer service skills required Ability to communicate clearly and effectively required Licenses and Certifications
