Marketing Associate

The Marketing Associate is a key contributor on the Hilco Global Brand Marketing team, reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, Brand Marketing. This role will work very closely with two Marketing Managers, supporting and helping lead day-to-day brand initiatives including website and intranet content management, Cision media monitoring, email marketing campaign execution, social media posting and LinkedIn campaign management, thought leadership content development, sponsorships and trade association coordination, and budget tracking/coordination. The position also plays an important role in SEO, digital optimization, and maintaining brand consistency across all channels.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate closely with the two Marketing Managers to plan, execute, and report on marketing initiatives
  • Coordinate, edit, test, and publish website content using WordPress
  • Manage and update the company intranet portal with current marketing materials (flyers, presentations, logos, etc.)
  • Maintain and organize digital libraries, including presentations, stock images, and icons
  • Own and update brand/marketing calendars; drive cross-functional follow-through
  • Conduct keyword research and implement on-page/off-site SEO strategies to enhance site visibility
  • Lead Cision media monitoring: set up queries, track press mentions, analyze coverage, prepare dashboards/reports, and share insights with leadership
  • Build, schedule, and execute client-facing email marketing campaigns using a marketing automation platform; manage lists, segment audiences, track performance, and optimize campaigns based on analytics
  • Plan, create, and post content across social media channels, with a focus on LinkedIn campaigns; monitor performance metrics and adjust strategy accordingly
  • Support development of thought leadership content, including white papers, vodcasts, and podcasts by coordinating production, editing, and distribution
  • Assist with sponsorships, coordinate with trade associations, and track industry events to maximize brand visibility and engagement opportunities
  • Assist with budget tracking and coordination for marketing activities, including sponsorships, events, campaigns, and vendors
  • Support management of promotional items inventory and fulfillment
  • Edit and update marketing collateral (flyers, team bios) and ensure brand consistency
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and agency/vendor partners to execute initiatives on time and on brand

Qualifications and skills include:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a marketing or brand coordinator role; associate manager-level experience preferred
  • Proficiency with CMS platforms (WordPress required; plugin experience a plus)
  • Solid understanding of SEO best practices; experience with tools such as SEMrush required
  • Competence with Google Analytics and GA4 (dashboarding/reporting familiarity preferred)
  • Cision (or comparable media monitoring platform) experience required
  • Experience with email marketing and marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, Mailchimp, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience managing social media channels, including LinkedIn campaign execution
  • Experience supporting content development for thought leadership pieces such as white papers, vodcasts, and podcasts
  • Experience assisting with sponsorships, coordinating with trade associations, tracking events, and supporting budget tracking/coordination
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and XML a plus
  • Project management experience (tools/process) desirable
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience working with cross-functional or matrixed teams a plus
