Job Summary:
The Events & Sponsorship Marketing Coordinator at Killington/Pico Resort supports the planning, coordination, and execution of events, programming, partner activations, and sponsorship integrations across Killington Resort and Pico Mountain. This position works closely with the Marketing team to plan and deliver communications, signage, and marketing materials that enhance the visibility and success of resort events and partnerships.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Assist in the planning and execution of events, competitions, partnerships, and resort programming, including contract execution, budgeting, staffing, and post-event evaluation Contribute to idea generation and planning for events, activations, and sponsor integrations Execute event and activation set-up, on-site operations, and tear-down Coordinate operational logistics, including equipment, staffing, and registration Implement sponsor activations and ensure fulfillment of partner deliverables and contractual obligations Develop and manage event content for Killington and Pico websites and related digital channels Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to ensure high-quality, timely executionof marketing and event deliverables Communicate event details across departments through organized internal communications Assist Marketing with event-related collateral creation, proofreading, and editing to ensure brand consistency Manage logistics for advance ticketing and on-site sales, including attendee communication and registration management Respond to guest inquiries regarding upcoming events Develop and maintain volunteer databases; recruit, schedule, train, and manage volunteers Coordinate the Merchant Pass volunteer program for the Killington Pico Area Association Collaborate with departments such as Lodging, F&B, and Operations to ensure event needs are met Measure and evaluate event success through tracking and post-event reporting Serve as a Killington Ambassador, representing the resort positively with partners, sponsors, and the community Support other departments during peak periods as needed Perform other tasks as assigned Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in recreation, marketing, or event management preferred Intermediate to advanced skier or snowboarder Previous event coordination experience required Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in winter conditions Must have a valid U.S. driver's license and be in good physical condition Able to lift/move up to 25 pounds regularly, 30 pounds frequently, and 50 pounds occasionally Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as part of a regular schedule Flexible with hours and days of the week - must be willing to accommodate a fluctuating schedule in order to attend events outside of "standard" business hours Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite and other relevant software tools Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Follows established policies and procedures but always explores and suggests improvements as needed Attention to detail and ability to prioritizetasks Excellent follow-through and problem-solving skills. Ensures timely follow-up and completes assigned duties Must have strong operational and organizationalskills Strong operational, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Knowledge of Killington Resort and Pico Mountain and passion for year-round outdoor recreation preferred Collaborative and team-oriented, contributing to departmental goals and initiatives Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple groups and projects at the same time Can handle fast paced, high-pressureenvironment Able to effectively manage and communicate with event staff and volunteers as well as educate individuals and groups Supportive of our core values and set examples for others tofollow Energetic and enthusiastic about the mountainexperience
