Job Description Summary: Content designers at PayPal collaborate with designers, product managers, researchers, marketers, and legal partners to create user experiences that empower people and businesses worldwide. This position identifies content challenges, recommends best practices, leads functional projects, and shapes strategies that align with user needs and business goals.
Essential Responsibilities
- Develop and articulate clear content strategies that align with product goals and user needs.
- Perform complex work assignments using specialized content strategy knowledge and advanced business expertise.
- Lead projects or programs within the content design function, coordinating activities of others.
- Design process, product, and service improvements based on user needs and industry trends.
- Determine methods and procedures for content design strategies that impact team activities.
Expected Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Responsibilities and Preferred Qualifications
- Develop and articulate clear content strategies that meet user and business objectives.
- Plan and write UX content for web and app experiences across all touchpoints, including navigation, UI copy, emails, push notifications, and in‑app notifications.
- Collaborate with design on overall experience strategy, content hierarchy, interactions, visuals, and messaging tone.
- Lead projects or programs within the content design function.
- Identify opportunities for process, product, and service improvements based on user needs and industry trends.
Minimum Qualifications
- 8+ years of relevant work experience and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Excellent writing, content strategy, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, set stakeholder expectations, and collaborate across teams.
- Experience in financial services, payments, B2B or B2C e‑commerce.
Compensation: The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is $100,500 to $173,250, with additional performance bonuses, equity, and benefits. For more information, visit PayPal Benefits.
