A large well known music streaming service company is urgently looking to hire a Music Social Media Manager to join their team on a HYBRID schedule in New York City, NY!!

This is a 6+ month contract to hire on W2 offering a full benefits package

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelors degree
• 5+ years leading strategy for organic social media, preferably in a global or entertainment/media environment
• Experience doing social in a label environment
• Experience with another music streamer or music company such as MTV or related industry.
• Music experience is a must
• Organic Social Media Experience
• Proficient in Social Media Strategies
• Experience launching artists albums
• Experience translating complex data into actionable insights

What You Will Be Doing:

• As a Social Media Manager within the Global Organic Social Strategy (GOSS) team, you will lead best-in‑class organic social media strategies that enhance access, engagement, resilience, and relevance for music vertical.
• The Social Media Manager champions the voice of our fans and artists across channels, teams, and workstreams, with a focus on elevating sentiment, driving positive business outcomes, and acting as a leader for social across the company.
• Develop and execute strategies to drive positive engagement for our artist, album, industry, and partnership campaigns.
• Lead fan engagement, GTM, and content calendar plans, ensuring alignment with GOSS and wider Spotify priorities.
• Stay ahead of evolving social algorithms, best practices and community behaviors, taking proactive initiative to optimize our social presence.
• Manage time and resources with care and precision, ensuring thoughtful coordination across distributed teams, time zones, and dependencies.
• Use the RACI model to clearly identify roles and responsibilities across projects.
• Maintain clarity and accountability in communication, ensuring visibility across teams and leadership.
• Lead on‑site content capture and real‑time coverage strategy for industry milestones, artist campaigns, and brand partnerships/activations
