We are seeking a highly motivated and detail‑oriented Entry‑Level CAD Designer to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the design and development of military equipment and systems. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, project managers, and subject matter experts to contribute to the success of our projects.
Roles and Responsibilities
CAD Design:
Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings of military equipment and components using industry‑standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA).
Collaboration:
Work closely with engineers and other team members to translate conceptual designs into precise technical drawings and models.
Design Modification:
Assist in making design modifications as needed, addressing any changes in project requirements or performance specifications.
Quality Control:
Ensure that all CAD designs meet our company's quality and compliance standards, as well as relevant military and industry regulations.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and organized records of design files, revisions, and other relevant documentation.
Communication:
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to communicate project progress, resolve design‑related issues, and implement design changes.
Research:
Stay updated on the latest industry trends, CAD software advancements, and military technology developments to contribute innovative ideas to the design process.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, CAD Design, or a related field.
Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and error‑free designs.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
Strong problem‑solving and critical thinking skills.
An understanding of military specifications and standards is a plus, but not required for entry‑level positions.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in computer aided technology, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
Relevant work experience in procurement, 1-3 years.
