This is a hybrid position located in Richmond, VA. We act as an extension of our clients’ marketing teams, developing customized digital marketing strategies aligned with their unique goals and services. Our team of experienced digital marketing analysts works side-by-side with clients to gain a deeper understanding of their business, industry, and competitors, identifying ideal target audiences and uncovering what sets our clients apart.

Position Summary The Lead Paid Media Analyst will be fully independent and consistently push the team and company forward.

Responsibilities

Develop strategies and tactics that support client goals and drive strong paid media marketing performance

Build and maintain strong, deep client relationships with day‑to‑day contacts and senior stakeholders to ensure high client retention and growth

Troubleshoot minor to complicated client issues

Implement and test new capabilities to enable client growth

Train analysts on advanced topics

Manage creation and quality of client services deliverables during the sales process for upsells and new business

Support Team Leads in training new team members

Provide temporary launch support and contribute to new strategy development for priority clients

Contribute thought leadership content to the Workshop Digital blog and industry publications

Develop strong relationships with clients and senior stakeholders

Attend and participate in all meetings/calls with clients

Communicate independently and effectively with various audiences

Create and present insightful, meaningful, accurate reports and analysis independently

Execute the client flag process and proactively identify resolutions

Go the extra mile for assigned clients within the scope of the SOW

Provide temporary launch support and develop new strategies for priority clients

Proactively seek and gracefully accept feedback; tactfully share feedback with colleagues

Immediately inform Paid Media Team Lead of any concerns or issues from clients

Inform Team Lead of any updates, concerns, or potential points of interest from the digital marketing community

Share meaningful information that advances the team

Participate in the interview process

Lead special projects independently

Identify new opportunities for clients to meet their business goals

Independently identify opportunities for potential case studies and coordinate with marketing

Lead beta testing for new services and manage beta tests for client sets

Develop best practices and training for new services

Support client development by assisting with RFPs, presentations, audits, and SOWs

Respond to requested changes in scope of services with oversight

Elevate client requests for SOW changes

Oversee training for new team members; consistently identify opportunities to update and expand training content

QA training content and develop original technical training content

Consistently conduct team trainings, including advanced topics

Read industry blogs, books, whitepapers, and articles to stay current

Manage paid digital marketing accounts across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Facebook, etc.

Strategically build, manage, and optimize client paid accounts

Perform keyword and audience research to optimize accounts and influence creative decisions

Actively seek ways to improve account performance and diversify client budgets

Create test hypotheses and implement landing page optimizations

Keep abreast of the latest paid media trends and projections

Create and prioritize strategies that embody client business goals

Take ownership and accountability for client performance, meeting and exceeding expectations

Set up and review Google Analytics and other tracking software

Proactively identify threats, changes, industry updates, and opportunities

Conduct ongoing tests to drive growth and client goal achievement

Temporarily take on extra client hours to support the team during bandwidth constraints

Qualifications

Meets expectations of a Paid Media Manager and consistently works independently

Demonstrated ability with challenging clients: building strong relationships, prioritizing workload, creating actionable insights, presenting data clearly, leading client meetings, delivering advanced training, logging client hours, meeting deadlines

Proven track record managing a full client workload with high‑complexity clients; able to handle additional work during crunch periods

Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills

Advanced analytical capabilities with independent insights

Regularly mentors junior team members, providing constructive feedback and core training

Supports leadership vision and decisions

Proactively expands advanced knowledge base through research and peer collaboration

Identifies and implements initiatives that push the team and division forward

Expert‑level skills in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (Excel, Sheets)

Salary Expected base salary range is $90,000 – $105,000 per year, based on experience.
