Responsibilities Margaritaville is looking for an Email/SMS Marketing Specialist to help us connect with our guests and fans through thoughtful, well‑crafted email campaigns. In this role, you’ll support our marketing team by managing email/SMS communications that drive interest, engagement, and bookings across our ships. You’ll write and build emails, set up automation workflows, and use data to improve performance—all while keeping the Margaritaville spirit front and center.
Campaign Execution & Automation:
Design, build, and manage sophisticated email/SMS campaigns and automated nurture sequences using HubSpot.
Promotional Campaigns:
Create and optimize sales emails/SMS for major promotions including Black Friday, New Year’s, 4th of July, and other seasonal events.
Copywriting & Conversion Optimization:
Write clear, compelling copy for emails/SMS, subject lines, CTAs, and landing pages that drive engagement and conversions.
Segmentation & Personalization:
Manage and segment our customer database to deliver highly targeted and relevant email/SMS communications.
Technical Expertise:
Serve as the HubSpot expert for email workflows, ensuring data integrity, system integration, and adherence to best practices.
Compliance & Deliverability:
Ensure all campaigns comply with email/SMS marketing laws (CAN‑SPAM, GDPR, etc.), maintain high deliverability rates, and troubleshoot issues as needed.
Cross‑Team Collaboration:
Work closely with Marketing and Digital and Data teams to ensure a cohesive customer experience across channels.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in email/SMS marketing, marketing automation, or digital marketing.
Hands‑on experience with HubSpot or similar marketing automation platforms.
Experience managing large contact databases and implementing lead scoring models is a plus.
Strong copywriting skills with a focus on conversion, clarity, and brand voice.
Proven ability to build and optimize email campaigns, nurture sequences, and newsletters.
Solid understanding of email marketing best practices, including segmentation, personalization, A/B testing, and deliverability.
Familiarity with email compliance regulations (CAN‑SPAM, GDPR, etc.).
Analytical mindset with experience using data to drive decisions and improve performance.
Comfortable working cross‑functionally with content, design, product, and sales teams.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Physical Demands Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
Travel 25%
Work Conditions Work primarily in a climate‑controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Work is classified as “in‑person.” The physical office is in Orlando.
