Email Marketing Manager About Denver Modern:

We are a growing online furniture brand, started and managed by a husband-and-wife team. Denver Modern was created to showcase a Denver-inspired design aesthetic that is uniquely ours: modern, simple, timeless, comfortable. We sell direct-to-consumers online, nationally, and also work with hospitality & workplace customers. Our Northfield location includes a showroom, corporate office and warehouse. We are looking to add a team member to our entrepreneurial, collaborative, positive, and fun team.

Position Summary:

Denver Modern seeks a motivated Email Marketing Manager to join our team on a full-time basis in our Denver, CO headquarters. This role works collaboratively to maximize email and SMS performance with focus on driving growth in this critical channel. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high growth, Direct to Consumer (DTC), specialty brand where you can contribute and thrive with the Company. Key Responsibilities of the Role: Strategic & Tactical

Responsible for the strategy and execution of the email and SMS marketing program, including campaign management, list integrity, growth, segmentation, testing, and content personalization

Track record of growing DTC email and SMS revenue to at least 30% of total business, with above-benchmark engagement rates in home/furniture or similar industries, preferred

Experience implementing lifecycle automations—welcome, onboarding, lead nurturing, post‑purchase, win‑back, cart/browse abandonment—with strong creative and analytic execution

Demonstrated experience building high‑quality subscriber lists (opt‑in growth, suppression of non‑engaged users, compliance with deliverability and privacy)

Drives list building via paid social tactics, website promotions, and other acquisition strategies in collaboration with channel owners

Creates engaging and compelling email and SMS content that resonates with our audience and aligns with our brand voice, including engaging copy, appealing visuals, and persuasive calls to action

Segments email lists based on audience demographics, behaviors, and preferences; understand the nuances of sales channels (DTC and B2B), cohorts, and customer segments to align content needs for each purpose

Monitors and analyzes email and SMS campaign key performance indicators (KPIs), such as deliverability, open rates, click‑through rates, conversions, and ROI alongside paid social campaign performance to identify cross‑channel opportunities and make data‑driven optimizations. Integrate audience insights from paid social to refine email segmentation and personalization

Ensures all creative deliverables meet the highest quality brand standards through thorough checks, focusing on seamless mobile compatibility

Leverages data‑driven insights to optimize campaigns and automation for maximum impact and ROI; continuously test and iterate on strategies to achieve business goals and drive continuous improvement

Ability to present strategic insights and recommendations to founders and cross‑functional leadership

Collaborates effectively across internal teams to integrate and align email and SMS marketing strategies with broader marketing initiatives around acquisition, retention, and reactivation

Collaborates with paid social, marketing, and creative teams to coordinate campaign calendars and messaging, ensuring email and paid social efforts amplify one another and deliver a cohesive customer experience. Leverage paid social to grow the email list and use email to nurture social audiences

Preferred: Experience working with/alongside performance marketing and paid social teams for cohesive cross‑channel strategies

Analyzes and troubleshoots technical issues and can problem‑solve independently

Best Practices

Stays up-to-date with email marketing best practices, industry trends, and compliance regulations, such as privacy laws

Identifies opportunities for process improvement and drive efficiency to support the business scale

Manager relationships with email service providers (ESPs), integrating new performance marketing technologies or platforms to improve deliverability, automation, and attribution

Keys to Success

5-10 years of experience in digital marketing for omni‑channel brands, ideally with both DTC and B2B channel understanding

Knowledge of email and SMS marketing best practices, including CAN‑SPAM and GDPR regulations

Proficiency in email, SMS, postcard marketing platforms such as Klaviyo, Postscript

Familiarity with CRM platforms, such as Zoho, and other marketing automation tools is preferable

Technical coding skills required, such as HTML and CSS email‑oriented best practices

Proficient in using project management tool such as Asana

Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Google Workspace

Highly organized and proactive doer, with the ability to take initiative and manage multiple tasks and projects at the same time and deliver within deadlines

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an analytical mindset to interpret data and derive actionable insights

Creative thinking and the ability to develop engaging email content

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced and deadline‑driven environment

In‑person, local to Denver, CO area

A portfolio of recent campaigns, automation flows, segmentation logic, and performance results will be required as part of the interview process
