Overview Art Director, Core Experience Design at SAP. The Design team within the Digital Experiences (DX) organization seeks an experienced Art Director to lead the evolution of visual concepts from ideation to execution. Translate complex B2B enterprise software messaging into compelling visuals that engage and clarify. Be a proactive creative who helps stakeholders and Visual Designers move from stuck to unstuck through questioning, sketching, wireframing, and storyboarding.
Key Responsibilities Partner with the Head of Design, Creative Director, and stakeholders (e.g., Product Marketing) to refresh SAP.com’s visual design, including strategy and execution planning
Lead the look, tone, and feel of visual assets across web and non-web platforms (graphics, illustrations, animations, PDFs, and presentations)
Translate complex business messaging into clear, meaningful visualizations
Own the briefing and review process between stakeholders and Visual Designers
Mentor Visual Designers and provide frequent feedback to ensure creative quality and accurate production
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on motion design, interactive components, and presentations
Champion SAP’s brand guidelines while introducing fresh, innovative approaches
Present creative concepts to stakeholders clearly and confidently
Skills & Qualifications Strong portfolio demonstrating creation of visual concepts across platforms (digital, print, social, experimental)
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and FigJam
Deep understanding of layout, typography, color theory, and motion design
Ability to manage multiple projects in an agile environment
Excellent collaboration, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Visual/Graphic Design, UX Design, or related field
5+ years in art/creative direction, including at least 2 years in a senior/lead role
Digital or creative agency experience
Proven experience briefing and directing Visual Designers, reviewing deliverables, and maintaining high creative standards

Compensation : SAP provides pay transparency; the annualized compensation range for the career level applicable to this role is 141,700 - 294,700 USD.
