The Instructional Designer will join the AI Academy team as a strategic partner, helping to shape the design, delivery, and evolution of our learning platform. Working closely with faculty and staff, this person will:
- Transform expert-developed content into interactive e-learning experiences that resonate with practicing clinicians and healthcare professionals.
- Design engaging modules, courses, and assessments using modern instructional design techniques that go beyond static slides and lectures.
- Leverage Docebo (our LMS) to deliver content in user-friendly, accessible, and scalable formats.
- Collaborate with subject-matter experts to iterate on content, ensuring clarity, accessibility, and alignment with clinical practice.
- Incorporate innovative approaches such as personalized learning pathways tailored to different learner archetypes (e.g., physicians, nurses, staff, administrators).
- Explore and integrate AI-enhanced training methods that align with AI Academy’s vision of responsible innovation.
- Partner with HEA3RT faculty and staff to design, develop, and refine interactive learning content.
- Build modules that incorporate video, case studies, simulations, branching scenarios, and other active learning techniques.
- Structure and upload learning content into Docebo, ensuring seamless learner experience.
- Collaborate on iterative improvements through pilot feedback and learner engagement analytics.
- Ensure materials are accessible, visually appealing, and consistent with educational standards.
- Provide thought partnership on content strategy, including learner engagement and continuous improvement.
- 3–5+ years of professional experience in instructional design, preferably in healthcare or academic medicine
- Strong portfolio demonstrating engaging, interactive e-learning content
- Proficiency with modern instructional design tools and methodologies
- Experience with Docebo (or similar LMS platforms)
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills; ability to work effectively with clinicians and staff in a complex academic environment
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in instructional design, education, or related field preferred
- Background in healthcare or medical education
- Familiarity with responsible AI concepts and enthusiasm for contributing to a mission-driven team
