Dice is the leading career destination for tech experts. Our client, ALTA IT Services, is seeking a UI/UX Web Designer to support the FBI's Training Division. The position is 1 day a week onsite in Quantico, VA, requires a Secret clearance, and an ability to obtain Top Secret.
Location: Quantico, VA. Salary: $100,000.00 - $135,000.00.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with project manager, business analysts, and developers to create intuitive, fluid designs.
- Advocate for the user, limiting frustration and ensuring accessibility requirements are met.
- Ensure developed products meet Accessibility and Section 508 standards.
- Collaborate with multiple teams in a team environment.
Eligibility & Requirements
- 5+ years experience designing and developing web applications.
- Experience developing engaging and user‑friendly interfaces that conform to accessibility standards.
- Provide a portfolio of modern, sophisticated interaction designs for web applications.
- Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
- Proficiency with professional design tools (Photoshop, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Illustrator).
- Understanding of Responsive Web Design principles.
- Experience working and designing in an Agile environment.
- Analytical, detail oriented, able to translate functional requirements into web‑based solutions.
- Clearance: Active Secret with ability to obtain Top Secret.
Preferred Skills
- Experience designing with client‑rich technologies such as AngularJS, Bootstrap, jQuery, Knockout.
- Experience with .NET based applications and MS Visual Studio.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Human‑Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or related field; or significant software design experience.
