UI/UX Web Designer

Quantico, VA – 1 day a week onsite

Secret clearance required to start. Must be able to get Top Secret.

This position supports the FBI’s Training Division by designing user interfaces for custom built web applications.

Job Responsibilities

• Work with project managers, business analysts, and developers to create intuitive and fluid designs and ensure consistency across applications.
• Advocate for the user, limit frustration, and ensure accessibility requirements are met.
• Ensure developed products meet accessibility and Section 508 standards.
• Collaborate with multiple teams in a team environment.

Job Experience

• 5+ years of experience designing and developing web applications.
• Experience developing engaging, user‑friendly interfaces that conform to accessibility standards.
• Portfolio of modern, sophisticated interaction designs for web applications.
• Experience with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Proficiency with professional design tools such as Photoshop, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, etc.
• Understanding of responsive web design principles and techniques.
• Experience working and designing in an Agile environment.
• Analytical, detail‑oriented, and able to translate functional requirements into web‑based solutions.
• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain a Top Secret.

Other Desired Skills

• Experience designing with client‑rich technologies such as AngularJS, Bootstrap, jQuery, or Knockout.
• Experience working with .NET based applications and MS Visual Studio.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human‑Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a similar field.
