We are looking for an experienced Game Designer to join our New Games team in North America. As a member of our Games team, you will be responsible for ensuring quality in our new games by serving as a bridge between Pogo and our external development partners. By becoming an expert in Pogo, from players motivations to business goals to internal team needs to the nuances of the product, you will facilitate the creation of high-quality games and work with the design team to integrate them into our ongoing live service. What You Will Do Review and approve milestone submissions from external partner studios for games in development. Plan and run playtests of games in development to validate hypotheses, gather feedback, and improve quality. Become an expert in Pogo and its players. Design clear and efficient tooling and documentation for internal stakeholders to produce ongoing work, such as Limited Time Events, for Live Service. Balance and tune Pogo site-level systems such as Ranks or Challenges in new games. Balance and tune game economies, taking both player experience and monetization goals into consideration. Review design work of internal design team members and provide feedback. Work with relevant disciplines (Art, Engineering, Product, Production, UX) to align on game vision. Analyze market data and react to current trends in the industry to inform design decisions. Analyze internal data to understand players experience and inform design decisions. What You Bring 3+ years of design experience, with shipped games, preferably in casual/mobile. Experience with systems and gameplay design, preferably in F2P or casual games. Passion for making games, and an understanding of the casual market. Excellent verbal and written skills. Experience working with a distributed/remote development team. Compensation And Benefits The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on various factors (education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). Pay ranges British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) $91,100 - $126,900 CAD In British Columbia, we offer a benefits package including vacation, sick time, parental leave, health/dental/vision coverage, life and disability insurance, retirement plan, and potential bonus/equity.
