Position Specific Summary

We are seeking a motivated and creative individual to join our team as a Social Media Assistant. As a key member of our department, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our online presence, engaging with our audience, and helping to drive department awareness. The CLRE Social Media Assistant will be responsible for providing assistance with the CLRE social media through the HomeAtGW instagram account; actively creating and posting engaging content; monitoring social media channels for comments, messages, and mentions; responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner; and collaborating with the Communications and Summer Operations Housing Associate to brainstorm and develop creative ideas for social media campaigns and promotions on a consistent basis.

Standard Position Description

The student will provide basic support with print, web, social media, and/or other digital content. Tasks may include: posting and updating website pages and social media accounts; create written communications and/or newsletters, assist with graphic and/or video editing. Special projects or other duties may be assigned related to specific departmental/faculty needs.

Required Qualifications

This is an entry level position, little to no experience required, all training will be provided.

Preferred Qualifications

Basic familiarity with graphic design software (canva), relevant coursework in marketing, design, or communications fields, and previous experience with social media management or digital marketing are all a big plus.
