Large Automotive Dealership group is seeking a Marketing Specialist to join our team! This individual will be responsible for the development, management, and maintenance of the Service Departments Marketing programs in order to maximize customer retention. This role will base out an office in the Chicago suburbs.
Role Offers
Compensation of up to $200,000 (base and bonus)
Medical, Dental, Vision, STD, LTD, PTO, 401K and more
Role Responsibilities
Develop progressive digital and direct-mail marketing strategies, document in detail the customer lifecycle, and all events
Liaison between the OEM and their marketing programs to maximize marketing reach with assigned areas
Coordinate timely delivery of communications based on vehicle time and mileage parameters
Partner with marketing companies to develop seasonal creatives per brand
Researches and advises on consumer incentives that drive engagement
Measures, reports, and refines marketing strategy to ensure optimal customer reach rates
Collaborate with service managers, general managers and the corporate team in order to strategize marketing plans and forecast service department productivity
Analyze service department productivity; pull reports in order to assess where the dealership is underperforming and what marketing initiatives can correct those troubled areas
Create the following marketing material: Service Reminders, National Promotions, Dealer Website Self‑Service, etc
Manage the Dealer Marketing Co‑Op program
Drive innovation in boosting sales. Display an entrepreneurial spirit in the creation, development, implementation and follow‑up for all programs and initiatives
Prepare and present budgets and investments as well as monitor and manage budgets for on‑going programs
Manage the day‑to‑day publishing, creative development, and distribution of various dealer and consumer communications
Maximize the overall effectiveness of service marketing programs
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
5+ years of Marketing and/or Advertising experience in digital and traditional advertising
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in the area of automotive service and parts marketing
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access & PowerPoint
Knowledge/Experience of dealership Fixed Operations business is a plus but not required
OEM experience is a plus— but not required
Desired Qualifications
Excellent communication, organization, and follow‑up skills
Understanding of one‑to‑one and customer relationship management marketing principles
Experience in measuring the effectiveness of marketing programs
Data management and analysis skills in Excel, and Access
Basic project/initiative management experience
