Senior Marketing Operations Manager, AWS Marketing Strategy & Operations The Senior Marketing Operations Manager is a pivotal member of AWS’s Marketing Strategy and Operations team, responsible for driving both core marketing operational processes and strategic initiatives to maximize performance and impact across the business. This role leads efforts to inspect marketing performance, manage resources, coordinate rhythm of business (RoB) activities, and align organizational planning, while also providing critical decision support to leaders, enabling sales and product alignment, and spearheading strategic planning projects.

Key Job Responsibilities

Oversee core operational marketing functions such as performance inspection, resource management, and RoB coordination to ensure goals are met and organizational efficiency is optimized.

Drive strategic activities including leader decision support, interlock with sales teams, and alignment of technology and product roadmaps to business objectives.

Facilitate integration and enablement by collaborating with cross-functional partners in analytics, segmentation, finance, and builder experience to ensure seamless marketing operations across domains.

Resolve, triage, and accelerate issues from the Voice of Marketing, ensuring timely and effective resolution through specialist channels and partnership teams.

A Day in the Life A typical day consists of balancing hands‑on management of marketing processes with high‑level strategic project execution. The Senior Marketing Operations Manager may begin the day reviewing performance metrics and resource allocations, lead planning sessions, and coordinate across organizational teams on strategic alignment and enablement. Regular interactions include supporting leadership decisions, partnering with analytics, segmentation, and finance teams, and resolving operational challenges identified by the marketing team, all while championing continuous improvement and specialist resolution pathways.

About the Team The AWS Marketing Strategy and Operations team integrates marketing operations across insights & analytics, segmentation, operational enablement, and strategic planning, serving as the hub between the voice of marketing and a network of specialists and stakeholders. As part of a high‑impact team at AWS, the Senior Marketing Operations Manager works alongside experts in builder experience, financial management, and product enablement, driving collaboration and operational excellence in support of AWS’s mission to deliver innovative cloud solutions for customers worldwide.

Basic Qualifications

6+ years of professional non‑internship marketing experience

Experience building, executing, and scaling cross‑functional marketing programs

Experience communicating results to senior leadership

Experience presenting metrics and progress to senior leadership

Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

Preferred Qualifications

MBA

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Depending on the position offered, equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be included as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
