Sr. Business and Marketing Operations Manager
Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. (SGA) is searching for a Senior Business and Marketing Operations Manager for a contract assignment with a premier SaaS client in San Francisco, CA. This role is for a senior professional who thrives at the intersection of strategy, operations, and execution. The individual will work closely with PMM leadership and partners in Product, Marketing, Finance, and GTM to enhance business performance and operational systems.
Responsibilities
Strategy & Business Operations
Partner with Product Marketing leaders to translate strategic plans into operational execution that delivers measurable business impact across pricing, packaging, segmentation, growth planning, and go‑to‑market.
Coordinate and lead operational cadences such as QBRs, roadmap reviews, business health reviews, and O&R tracking.
Support annual planning cycles, executive deliverables, and achievement tracking across initiatives.
Monitor category performance, surface insights from product, marketing, and customer data, and drive action in collaboration with Analytics and Finance.
Coordinate cross‑functional alignment and proactively identify risks, misalignments, or decision bottlenecks.
Develop executive communication assets: craft clear and persuasive narratives to support reviews, decisions, and partner alignment.
Marketing Operations
Engage with the global marketing organization to assess and boost marketing program efficiency across campaigns, launches, and customer segments.
Support development of marketing investment strategy and help align program spend to strategic objectives.
Track and report on marketing funnel metrics, working closely with GMO and performance marketing teams.
Optimize campaign planning, execution, and reporting workflows to improve visibility, accountability, and speed.
Program Execution & Change Enablement
Lead key projects that span product, marketing, and go‑to‑market teams – from concept through execution.
Establish structure for ongoing and ad‑hoc initiatives, applying program management rigor to ensure delivery and alignment.
Bring a mentality of continuous improvement – identifying inefficiencies, proposing solutions, and streamlining execution.
Required Skills
5–7 years of experience in business operations, strategy, or marketing operations in a tech or SaaS environment (consulting background a plus).
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to synthesize complex data into insights and decisions.
Experience supporting senior leadership and communicating effectively across levels, including executive forums.
Familiarity with marketing funnels, product metrics, planning tools, and financial modeling.
Excellent communication and storytelling abilities – written and verbal.
Comfortable working in matrixed environments, with a track record of cross‑functional influence.
Excellent critical thinking skills with a bias toward action and simplification.
Strong sense of ownership and organizational and project management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
