With rapid growth comes opportunity. We are looking for a CAD Designer to join our team in Camarillo, CA. This is a full-time, onsite, temporary position.
Responsibilities
Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of components and assemblies using SolidWorks.
Collaborate with engineers and mechanics to understand design requirements and incorporate feedback into CAD models.
Review and revise designs to optimize manufacturability, cost and performance.
Maintain and organize CAD files and documentation to ensure version control and accessibility.
Support prototyping and production teams by providing technical drawings and clarification as needed.
Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the design process.
Qualifications
Associates degree or certified computer-aided design, drafting, or a related field required.
Two to four years of professional experience in CAD design, preferably in a relevant manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of SolidWorks software, 2D and 3D modeling techniques.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
Understanding of manufacturing processes, material properties, and assembly techniques.
Salary Range (applicable to California) $28.00 - $35.00 per hour DOE
Skills/Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Must be able to use discretion and independent judgement.
Must be able to work in a team environment.
Must be able to pay close attention to details.
Must be able to adapt and flex to a changing environment.
Must be able to lift/carry 20 pounds.
