About the Role
Join our dynamic team as the Vice President of Music Licensing and Strategy, where you will spearhead the company's strategic vision for music licensing, driving growth and innovation. This influential role involves expanding and executing our music strategy, fostering and managing vital relationships with key music industry partners, and ensuring top-notch music operations.
You will lead a talented team of music professionals, act as a strategic advisor to the executive leadership team, and collaborate across departments to support company-wide growth initiatives. We are looking for someone with a robust background in music licensing negotiations and leadership, coupled with a solid understanding of U.S. music licensing frameworks and digital models.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant field; JD is strongly preferred
- A minimum of 12 years of experience in music licensing negotiations, including at least 5 years in a leadership capacity
- Proven success in building and leading cross-functional teams
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
- Proactive approach to problem-solving
- Experience with emerging music technologies and data licensing practices is highly advantageous
