Salary & Benefits Base pay range: $120,000 - $150,000 per year. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

Position Summary The Director of Marketing and Business Development will take a lead role in accelerating growth in the firm, overseeing marketing and sales and aligning them toward our targeted revenue growth. Reporting directly to the Management Committee, this person will have a voice in the direction of firm growth, the services offered, the industries served, and Calibre’s overall market strategy. They will be the go‑to source for all aspects of sales support, traditional marketing, marketing operations, marketing technology, and product management.

Responsibilities

Assist firm partners in developing and executing marketing and business development plans, including office plans and segment/niche plans.

Develop and execute the firm’s annual growth plan and prepare the marketing and business development budget to support growth.

Implement and direct all marketing strategies, identifying ways to improve ROI on marketing.

Oversee brand strategy, demand generation, digital presence, and thought leadership to raise the firm’s profile.

Ensure messaging reflects the firm’s mission and core values, and guide niche and marketing teams to support growth.

Initiate and manage public relations, media outreach, and communications with clients and prospects via email marketing, marketing automation, and social media.

Strategize and plan all in-person and web-based events and develop a content marketing plan to capture leads at every stage of the sales funnel.

Develop and assure proper distribution of marketing support; collaborate with partners and subject matter experts on marketing and speaking opportunities.

Collaborate with HR and Operations on recruitment marketing, onboarding materials, internal/external messaging, and employee engagement.

Own the firm’s databases of clients, prospects and news media, and reinforce the sales process through training, coaching and other activities that drive profitable revenue.

Implement and oversee the firm’s pipeline, support the development of personal marketing plans, and review sales outcomes for improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field; an advanced degree is a plus.

10+ years of senior experience in growth, business development, or marketing within accounting, professional services, or consulting.

Ability to interact effectively with all levels of firm personnel and external contacts with tact, professionalism, and discretion regarding confidential matters.

Roll‑up‑your‑sleeves, get‑it‑done attitude and proven experience supporting sales, marketing principles, and product.

A change agent who brings new ideas, concepts, and processes to a traditional environment and can persuasively communicate and sell new concepts.

Results‑oriented, profit‑oriented, and able to balance other business priorities.

Participative management style and ability to advocate and lead teams.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
