Education, Experience and Skill Requirements • High School Diploma • Ability to lift 50 lbs • Ability to climb and work on ladders up to 20 ft • Prior knowledge of basic IT infrastructure • IT networking basics • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow technical instructions • Attention to detail • Must be able to pass a background check for access to jail • Effective time management skills • Licensed to drive in the State of Texas • Able to pass a drug test • Ability to work with a team or independently • Flexible schedule • Ability to complete CJIS Level 4 certification if hired • Excellent oral and written communication skills • The ability to troubleshoot problems effectively

Primary Job Duties

Summary: This position will install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot video surveillance systems, including IP cameras, recording devices, and software. This will include running cables and working with light power tools. • Install and maintain video surveillance systems. • Install and maintain access control systems • Running ethernet cable and termination of those cables. • Working within our access control and video management software to configure and troubleshoot issues with the system • Assist other team members in department with various projects • Documenting changes made in environment • Driving to locations across entirety of County to accomplish tasks • Provide support and solutions to end users • Other duties as assigned

After receiving a conditional offer of employment, applicant must pass a drug screen (1/2 cost = $20.00, responsibility of applicant) and may need a physical agility test (1/2 cost = $22.50, responsibility of applicant) before becoming an employee of Montgomery County.
