What you will be doing
As a key member of Olive & June, you will lead data management and analytics initiatives across the organization, balancing technical execution with strategic vision. You will oversee the end?to?end data lifecycle from ingestion and transformation to reporting and advanced analyticsensuring trusted, actionable data flows across sales, supply chain, finance, marketing, and e?commerce.
Data Management & Infrastructure
- Build and maintain data sources (e.g., Shopify, Amazon, Retail POS) and ETL pipelines (e.g., Fivetran) to ensure data quality, integrity, and timeliness.
- Manage data architecture and optimize data warehouse performance (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
- Implement governance, documentation, and best practices for data handling.
Analytics & Insights
- Conduct in?depth analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights that drive business decisions.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations (Holistics, Tableau, Power BI, Looker) for key stakeholders.
- Design and evaluate KPIs, forecasts, and models to support strategic initiatives.
- Lead ad hoc analysis for product launches, marketing campaigns, and retail expansion.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and cross?functional groups, translating complex data topics into clear narratives.
- Partner with sales, finance, marketing, and operations to understand analytical needs and deliver data?driven solutions.
- Serve as a thought partner, translating business questions into analytical frameworks and insights.
Required Skills
- Strong business acumen with the ability to ask why and connect data to action.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management in a fast?paced environment.
- Excellent problem?solving and project management skills.
- Self?starter with a bias toward action, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to build from scratch.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree.
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or analytics rolesideally within a CPG, e?commerce, or high?growth startup.
- Proficient in SQL and at least one programming language (Python, R).
- Experience working with retail, e?commerce, and marketing data across multiple sources (Amazon, Shopify, Nielsen/IRI, Meta/Google Ads).
- Proven ability to design clear, impactful dashboards and reports; strong knowledge of data visualization tools and storytelling.
- Authorized to work in the United States on a full?time basis.
Compensation and Benefits
In Boston and California, the base pay range is $95,625.01 to $159,559.47 annually. Salary is just one component of the total compensation package, which may include bonus, healthcare, dental, vision, paid holidays, 401(k), and paid time off (PTO).
