Overview
USA TODAY Entertainment is seeking a dynamic, creative, and data‑driven Audience Manager to lead the promotion of our entertainment content across social channels. This role is pivotal in growing our digital social followers, increasing brand awareness, and driving traffic to USA TODAY’s entertainment coverage.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute platform‑specific strategies for Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, and emerging platforms.
- Create engaging social content that reflects USA TODAY’s voice and resonates with entertainment audiences.
- Monitor performance metrics and optimize content for reach, engagement, and click‑through rate.
- Curate and program the USA TODAY Entertainment homepage to showcase timely, relevant, and high‑performing content.
- Collaborate with editorial teams to ensure the homepage reflects key priorities and audience interests.
- Work closely with the photo and video teams to produce compelling visual content tailored for social and homepage use.
- Partner with reporters, editors, and audience development teams to amplify coverage and identify promotional opportunities.
- Analyze audience behavior and trends to inform strategy and content decisions.
- Identify growth opportunities and experiment with new formats and storytelling techniques.
- Help pilot and test automation and AI tools that can bring our great journalism to a wider audience.
- Provide regular performance reports and actionable insights to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of experience in social media strategy, audience development, or digital content promotion—preferably in entertainment media.
- Deep understanding of social platforms, especially Instagram and TikTok, including best practices and analytics tools.
- Strong editorial judgment and ability to identify stories that resonate with diverse audiences.
- Experience with homepage programming tools and CMS platforms.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Passion for pop culture, entertainment, and digital storytelling.

Salary
The annualized base salary for this role will range between $68,000 and $92,000.
