Creative Director

A fast-growing creator and manufacturer of personal care and fragrance-driven consumer products is looking to hire a Creative Director. The portfolio spans skincare, body wash, hand soaps, hand sanitizers, fragrance mists, and more.

The Creative Director will be the visionary leader guiding the brand identity, storytelling, and creative execution across all touchpoints. This role oversees concept development, brand design, packaging, digital content, campaign strategy, and innovation within the product and retail experience. You will steward cohesive brand expression while driving consumer-centric creativity that positions the brand as a category standout.

This leader will collaborate closely with Founders, Product Development, Marketing, Sales, and external partners to bring compelling concepts to life from ideation through commercialization.

Key Responsibilities

Brand & Creative Leadership

  • Define and evolve the brand’s creative direction and visual identity across all platforms.
  • Build and maintain strong brand guidelines ensuring consistent storytelling across product, digital, retail, and communications.
  • Translate brand vision into compelling consumer-focused concepts that resonate across diverse retail and DTC channels.

Product & Packaging Innovation

  • Lead creative for product development launches, from trend & consumer insight translation to naming, packaging design, fragrance, form factor, and merchandising.
  • Partner with R&D/Product and Operations to ensure packaging feasibility, quality, sustainability, and cost alignment.
  • Oversee creative for seasonal and limited-edition collections.

Campaigns & Content

  • Lead ideation and execution of brand campaigns, photoshoots, retail marketing, social media content, influencer assets, and digital storytelling.
  • Develop high-impact consumer experiences online and in-store, including retail displays, POP, and shopper marketing.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Build, inspire, and develop a high-performing creative team of 3–4+ designers, copywriters, and content creators (structure to be finalized).
  • Manage internal and freelance/agency resources for efficient workflow and best-in-class output.
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure alignment between creative strategy and business needs.

Project & Process Management

  • Establish creative workflow, timelines, and feedback processes to deliver efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Manage budgets, vendor relationships, photography, design resources, and production timelines.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of creative experience, ideally in beauty, personal care, fragrance, lifestyle CPG, or related design-driven categories.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating brand building, packaging excellence, and multi-channel campaign development.
  • Proven experience leading and mentoring creative teams.
  • Expertise across design, concept development, copy/tonality direction, and consumer-centric storytelling.
  • Comfortable in a fast-growth, entrepreneurial environment; ability to flex between big-picture thinking and hands-on execution.
  • Understanding of manufacturing considerations for liquids and personal care categories a plus.
