Job Description

The University Library Technician is an evening and weekend position at Mary Livermore Library. Evening hours after 5 p.m. are compensated as a shift premium. The technician assists with the creation and dissemination of outreach, instructional, and marketing materials, including displays, LibGuides, presentations, event flyers, and other instructional media. The successful candidate will use digital editing tools to produce instructional videos in various formats. The position also provides research assistance during evenings and weekends, backs up Patron Services when needed, supervises student assistants, and fulfills additional duties assigned by the Instruction and Outreach Librarian, the Director of Research Services Librarian, the Assistant Dean/Director of Patron Services, or the Dean of Library Services. Experience with Canva, Camtasia, or LibGuides is preferred.
This is a mandatory personnel position; employees may be required to provide presence during adverse weather or emergency events.
