Iowa Western Community College is hiring: Spring Library Student Desk Worker in

Description

To provide front line support to Iowa Western Students in the Library.

Job Duties

• Assist students with computers and printing
• Check out laptops to students
• Answer general questions about IWCC
• Direct students to appropriate resources
• Monitor student traffic in library and maintain a quiet study environment

Qualifications

• Current Iowa Western student with at least a 2.5 GPA
• Basic knowledge of Library resources and policies.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, ROC, BibliU, Canvas and basic computer functions
• Ability to perform multiple tasks while providing excellent customer service
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to address noise concerns with students
• Prior to interview, students must provide proof of registration for the upcoming semester.

Physical Demands

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 10lbs
