Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role in Honolulu, HI for a Business Development & Marketing Coordinator. The Coordinator will handle tasks such as writing proposals, analyzing data, managing special events atvtrade shows and providing exceptional customer service. The role involves supporting our business development team and working collaboratively to identify and pursue new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

- Assistant to the Director of Business Development, helping with proposal preparation, sales efforts, attendance at industry events and marketing activities. - Assist the Director of Business Development with the proposal development and proposal assembly process, from inception to submission, ensuring compliance with client requirements and deadlines. - Collaborate with team members, clients, contractors and others to gather necessary information and resources for proposal preparation. - Track sales leads from inception through the sales pipeline, ensuring timely proposal submission, providing regular follow up post proposal submission. - Track performance metrics of submitted proposals and report findings to improve future submissions. - Create visually appealing proposal documents, ensuring brand consistency and high-quality presentation, following company standards. - Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including email, social media, and content marketing. - Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive analysis, and customer insights that inform marketing strategies. - Plan and coordinate all aspects of marketing, trade shows, and other industry events we plan to attend, including logistics, set-up, breakdown, and on-site execution. - Represent the company by attending marketing, trade shows, and other industry events. - Implement upselling techniques to enhance the overall event experience. - Conduct post-event evaluations to assess success and identify areas for improvement. - Maintain strong relationships with vendors, venues, and clients in our industry. - Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and retention. - Support the sales team by providing insights into client needs and market trends.

Requirements - Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred but not required. - Proven experience in proposal coordination, managing customer relationships, in-person sales and marketing, and a strong understanding of the importance of a positive customer experience. - Experience in a construction, engineering, or architecture firm is preferred. - Excellent writing skills with a keen eye for detail. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on customer service excellence. - Experience using CRM tools for managing client interactions. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. - Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. - Enjoy attending and representing our firm at trade shows and industry events. - Strong copywriting skills with the ability to create engaging proposals tailored to different audiences. - You must be a People Person! You will be a key person interacting with clients and attending trade and industry events.

A key component and skillset to demonstrate in this role will be having consistent follow through. When you meet someone in the industry or at an event, it will be your responsibility to enter their lead into our CRM database and to foster a relationship through consistent and verbal interaction.
