Manufacturing Coordinator/Production Expeditor

Bandy Manufacturing has an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Coordinator/Production Expeditor. This position is responsible for supporting daily production operations by coordinating job orders, materials, and workflow across departments. This hybrid role ensures jobs move efficiently through each process, schedules are met, and communication between Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Maintenance remains seamless. The position plays a key role in tracking WIP, expediting critical jobs, maintaining ERP data accuracy, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Physically move materials, parts, and components between work centers, staging areas, or departments as needed to maintain production flow and support on-time delivery. Coordinate and release job orders (JOs) based on production schedules and material availability. Update ERP and production control boards with current job order locations and completion status. Communicate schedule changes, shortages, and job priorities to production leads and supervisors. Monitor job order accuracy verify quantities, lot tracking, and labor reporting for completeness before closing. Support on-time delivery performance by maintaining close communication with scheduling, quality, and shipping departments. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to manufacturing flow, efficiency, or scrap reduction. Prepare and distribute daily/weekly production reports. Support inventory cycle counts and reconciliation for WIP and finished goods. Monitor and coordinate chip reclaim collection and proper disposal or recycling. Track coolant levels and coordinate timely replacement, disposal, or reclamation with Maintenance and EHandS staff. Learn and assist with maintenance tasks such as HazMat management and reporting. Support shop floor organization and cleanliness through 5S practices and daily area cleaning checklists. Ensure production areas meet safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards at all times. Qualifications and Experience: High school diploma or GED required. Forklift certification preferred; ability to safely handle and transport materials on the shop floor. 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing or production coordination/expediting role. Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., JobBOSS, SAP, or equivalent). Strong Excel and data entry skills. Familiarity with lean manufacturing and production reporting methods. Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
