Social Media Support Volunteer

Purpose of the Role Join our growing social media team! This volunteer supports our online presence across multiple platforms, helping share the stories, faces, and missions of our Sanctuary. You’ll work alongside our existing Facebook manager to expand our reach, increase engagement, and highlight adoptable cats and Sanctuary events. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with our social media team to create posts for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other platforms Highlight adoptable cats with photos, videos, and bios Showcase Sanctuary events, volunteer opportunities, and fundraising campaigns Assist with short-form video content, including Reels or TikToks, capturing the cats’ personalities Respond to comments or messages under guidance to foster engagement Track engagement metrics and suggest ideas for improvement Coordinate with other volunteers to maintain consistent content and voice Skills & Qualifications Familiarity with social media platforms, trends, and best practices Creative eye for photos and video content Strong written communication skills with a friendly, approachable tone Reliable and able to commit to a flexible posting schedule Comfortable collaborating with a small team Passion for cats and animal welfare
