Account Specialist, Influencer Marketing
Position: Account Specialist
The Account Specialist position is a remote, work-from-home role. Some travel may be required for client meetings, internal meetings, conferences, and other events.
The Role As an
Account Specialist , you will provide white glove service to diverse brands investing in influencer marketing campaigns. This role is focused on campaign execution, including driving influencer recruitment, managing influencer partnerships, and owning campaign deliverables, tracking, and reporting. The Account Specialist will also drive strategy by analyzing campaign performance, identifying success areas or challenge areas, and proactively implementing strategic measures to optimize programs toward goals and objectives.
The successful candidate will have experience in developing and managing KPI-driven influencer marketing campaigns for consumer products and/or services. They will have knowledge of the overall partner marketing landscape, including affiliate marketing, and the ability to both develop comprehensive strategy and execute. The candidate should be a self-starter who can plug in to challenging situations, balance competing priorities, and operate effectively in an intrapreneurial environment. The person will work well with peers, establish relationships quickly, and lead through influence.
You’ll work closely with your manager and peers to maximize program effectiveness and create opportunities for growth.
Top 5 Responsibilities
INFLUENCER RECRUITMENT, NEGOTIATING & ONBOARDING – Source new partnership opportunities, create influencer casting lists, vet opportunities for brand alignment, authenticity, and relevancy, conduct outreach, negotiate when necessary, and support onboarding by providing resources.
INFLUENCER PARTNERSHIPS MANAGEMENT – Craft program-wide influencer communications and resources; guide influencers on content strategy and creation; develop content timelines; manage content reviews to ensure FTC compliance; adjust strategy to optimize for goals.
AUDITING, REPORTING & ANALYSIS – Audit program content for FTC compliance and brand guidelines; track content and share insights with clients; analyze campaigns using social analytics and conversion metrics; provide data-backed recommendations and refine strategy for growth; contribute to customized strategy plans and performance summaries.
CLIENT SERVICE & COMMUNICATION – Provide superior client service, escalate risks as appropriate, develop trust through quality deliverables and clear communications, and maintain high client satisfaction and retention rates (target ~8.5 client rating).
PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT – Own and manage client tasks with minimal supervision, handle multiple campaigns, meet deadlines, identify new opportunities, and resolve issues with team collaboration.
What Success Looks Like BY 3 MONTHS
Contribute across a portfolio of influencer programs and align with campaign strategy.
Work with key client contacts to ensure brand alignment in recruitment and content creation.
Familiarize with AP tools to cast prospective influencers, execute content timelines, audit content, and track performance.
By 6 MONTHS
Execute day-to-day operations of multiple influencer programs with minimal guidance, including reporting, applications processing, recruitment and casting, and partner communications.
Manage challenging client or team situations with a solutions-oriented approach.
Regularly analyze client data and leverage insights to optimize campaigns.
Handle client accounts effectively and profitably, meet targets, and maintain client satisfaction; uphold an average 8.5 client rating.
Present new campaign ideas and demonstrate understanding of program performance.
By 1 YEAR
Troubleshoot and resolve account and creator issues independently with actionable recommendations.
Contribute to program improvements and process efficiencies; take on new account responsibilities with support as a thought leader.

2+ years in influencer marketing agency roles with experience executing campaigns and managing client/influencer relationships
Strong understanding of omni-channel and digital marketing; track record in influencer campaigns for consumer products/services
Excellent at communicating, presenting, and obtaining client approval on campaigns
Working knowledge of attribution in digital marketing
Understanding of how influencer and affiliate marketing can work together
Tools experience (e.g., CreatorIQ, Grin, IZEA) preferred
Knowledge of Affiliate Networks or SaaS platforms (Impact, ShareASale, CJ, etc.) preferred
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Ability to travel up to 15%
Advanced Excel skills for reporting and data analysis
