Position: Physics Competition Problem Writer
Type: Contract
Location: Remote
Duration: Short‑term, with possibility of extension
Base pay range: $60.00/hr – $90.00/hr
Role Responsibilities
- Write original, advanced IPhO-style problems in mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, relativity, and quantum theory.
- Identify gaps in reasoning, misuse of physical laws, or dimensional inconsistencies.
- Provide clear, step‑by‑step analytical solutions using correct LaTeX notation.
- Maintain high standards of scientific clarity and Olympiad-level difficulty.
- Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while improving AI model performance.
Qualifications
- IPhO, APhO, or national Olympiad medalist or participant.
- Problem setter, coach, or selection‑committee member.
- Deep understanding of core physics domains (mechanics, E&M, thermo, modern physics).
- Proficiency in LaTeX and analytical presentation.
- Ability to explain derivations clearly and succinctly.
